Who it is for
- Foreign nationals aged 18+ enrolled in an accredited Lebanese university or religious institution
- Students who enter at the start of the academic year (nationals must generally enter from their country of origin)
Requirements
- Enrolment attestation specifying the degree type, duration and semesters
- Attestation that the previous year was passed (on renewal)
- Valid passport, application form and photographs
- Note: some nationalities face temporary exclusions from this route
What you can do
- Reside in Lebanon for the duration of accredited study
- Renew annually while making satisfactory academic progress
- Note: married students' children do not receive a dependent permit through the student
How to apply
- After one month of entry, visit a regional General Security bureau
- Submit the application with the enrolment attestation and required documents
- The institution provides student lists and signs a departure attestation at the end of studies
