Kyrgyzstan operates a visa-free regime with a substantial list of countries whose nationals can enter without a visa for a defined period. For many other nationalities, the government launched an electronic visa system in September 2017, allowing tourist, business and group-tourist visas to be applied for entirely online at the official portal.
The single most reliable step for any traveller is to open the official e-Visa portal and select their nationality: the system states whether they are visa-free, e-Visa eligible, or must apply through a Kyrgyz diplomatic mission. E-Visas are accepted only at designated international checkpoints, so travellers should confirm their planned point of entry is covered.
