Who Is Eligible to Enter Kyrgyzstan

Eligibility depends first on your nationality, which determines whether you are visa-free, e-Visa eligible, or must apply through a mission, and then on meeting the conditions for your chosen visa category.

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Nationality is the primary factor. Kyrgyzstan maintains a visa-free regime with a list of countries whose nationals can enter without a visa for a defined stay; a separate list of nationalities can use the online e-Visa; and remaining nationalities must obtain a visa in advance from a Kyrgyz embassy or consulate. The official e-Visa portal lets you check your own status by selecting your nationality.

Beyond nationality, each visa category has its own conditions tied to the purpose of stay – for example a valid invitation or contract for work, an enrolment letter for study, an investment threshold for the investment visa, or a family relationship for family categories. General requirements include a passport valid for at least six months and, for longer stays, in-country registration.

Because visa-free and e-Visa eligibility lists change, confirm your specific nationality and purpose against the official portal before you rely on any route.
