Who it is for

  • Visitors and tourists travelling specifically to the Kurdistan Region (Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok)
  • List A nationals applying online or on arrival
  • List B nationals applying via a Kurdistan-based guarantor

Requirements

  • Valid passport
  • Completed application through the visit.gov.krd portal
  • For List B nationals: a guarantor code from a Region-based sponsor

What you can do

  • Enter and stay in the Kurdistan Region for the permitted period
  • Does not by itself grant entry to the rest of federal Iraq

How to apply

  • Apply online at visit.gov.krd (List A), or
  • Coordinate with a guarantor who applies and pays on your behalf (List B)
  • List A nationals may alternatively obtain an e-Visa on arrival at entry points
