Requirements

  • A passport with at least six months' validity from arrival and at least two blank pages for stamping
  • A nationality on the official list of countries eligible for the Indian e-Visa
  • The visit must be for medical treatment (including treatment under Indian systems of medicine) at a recognised hospital or treatment centre in India
  • A letter from the Indian hospital or treatment centre confirming the treatment
  • The e-Medical Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible; medical attendants must apply separately for an e-Medical Attendant Visa

  • Apply online at indianvisaonline.gov.in up to 120 days before travel
  • Complete the form and upload a passport-style photograph and your passport bio page
  • Upload the letter from the Indian hospital confirming your treatment
  • Pay the e-Visa fee online
  • Receive the ETA by email and carry a printout for travel
  • Enter India through a designated e-Visa airport or seaport
