Requirements

  • A passport with at least six months' validity from arrival and at least two blank pages for stamping
  • A nationality on the official list of countries eligible for the Indian e-Visa
  • You must be attending a conference, seminar or workshop organised by a recognised body in India
  • An invitation from the conference organiser is mandatory
  • Political clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs and event clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs may be required for the event
  • The e-Conference Visa is non-extendable and non-convertible

How to apply

  • Apply online at indianvisaonline.gov.in up to 120 days before the conference
  • Complete the form and upload a passport-style photograph and your passport bio page
  • Upload the invitation from the conference organiser and any required government clearances
  • Pay the e-Visa fee online
  • Receive the ETA by email and carry a printout for travel
  • Enter India through a designated e-Visa airport or seaport
