Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Whether you need a visa for Honduras depends first on your nationality. Many nationalities are visa-exempt for short visits and are admitted on arrival, while others must obtain a consular visa in advance; some nationalities additionally require prior authorisation from the INM before a consulate can issue the visa.

Purpose of travel then determines the route: short tourism or family visits use visitor entry, whereas working, studying, joining family long-term, investing or retiring in Honduras require the corresponding foreigner permit or residence category.
