- Valid passport and supporting personal documents

- Compile corporate and personal documents
- Submit the application to the INM foreigner service
Documents you may need
- Application addressed to the Secretary of State (Human Rights, Justice, Governance and Decentralisation)
- Fiscal stamps (timbres) and, where required, the contracting fee attached to the application
- Power of attorney (carta poder) and a contact address and phone number in Honduras
- A recent front-facing photograph, with the applicant's name on the reverse
- Certification of migratory movement (movimiento migratorio)
- Original entry request authorised by a Honduran consul, authenticated and legalised (not required if the applicant is already in Honduras)
- Criminal-record certificate from the country of origin and of last residence, plus certification of no complaints or criminal records
- Medical certification
- Photocopy of the passport
- Certificate of deposit from the Central Bank of Honduras and proof of Investor Registry registration
- All foreign documents legalised/apostilled and, if not in Spanish, officially translated by the Secretariat of Foreign Affairs or a Honduran consulate
Frequently asked questions
The Migration and Foreigners Law sets a minimum investment of US$50,000 (or the equivalent in national currency) in lawful investment areas, plus a certificate of deposit of not less than US$5,000 from the Central Bank of Honduras to guarantee the investment, and registration in the Investor Registry of the Secretariat of Industry and Commerce.
