Requirements
- A passport valid for at least six months
- Passport photographs taken no more than three months before you submit the application
- A copy of a return ticket or a printed travel itinerary
- A valid international certificate of vaccination for Yellow Fever
- A valid hotel booking showing your name, the dates of your stay and the accommodation address
- Proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay
How to apply
Apply in advance at a Ghanaian diplomatic mission (embassy or high commission) in your country, or through the official Ghana Immigration Service eVisa portal, on either a single- or multiple-journey basis.
Submit the completed application form with your passport, recent photographs, supporting documents and the fee set by the issuing mission. GIS notes that a visa is not a guarantee of entry; admission remains subject to conditions at the port of entry.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. The Ghana Immigration Service requires a valid international certificate of vaccination for Yellow Fever as part of a visitor visa application, and you should carry it when you travel.
