Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

For most Ethiopian visas you need a passport valid for at least six months, a recent passport-style photograph and, for online applications, a scanned copy of your passport bio-data page. Fees are paid online by card for the eVisa.

Work, study, family and residence routes require additional supporting evidence: an employment contract or acceptance letter, proof of the sponsor's registration or trade certificate, financial documentation, and — for some routes — a police clearance certificate or authenticated civil documents such as a marriage certificate.
