Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Ethiopian visa and permit fees are set by the government and are payable online (by card) for the eVisa, or at an immigration office or diplomatic mission for other routes. Tourist eVisa fees depend on the validity chosen (up to 30 days or up to 90 days) and on single entry.

Because published figures from third-party sites vary, this guide does not quote exact eVisa fees — you should always confirm the current amount at the point of application on evisa.gov.et. Some specialist routes have their own fees; for example the Ethiopian Origin ID page lists a service fee of USD 300 (standard) or USD 400 (expedited).
