Who it is for

  • Non-nationals who have been resident or employed in Dominica for at least five years

Requirements

  • Completed application form (available at the Labour Division)
  • Medical certificate stating good health and no communicable disease in the past three years
  • Two character references from people who know the applicant in Dominica
  • Financial statement from a banker or employer letter confirming employment
  • Recent police record
  • Marriage certificate (where relevant)
  • Copies of work/resident permits held since arrival
  • Cover letter requesting permanent residence (and sponsor letter if unemployed)

How to apply

  • Collect the Permanent Residence Application Form from the Labour Division
  • Assemble the supporting documents and pay the fee at Treasury
  • Submit to the Ministry of National Security, Labour and Immigration; approval is at the Minister's discretion
