Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Requirements vary by route, but most Cyprus visa and permit applications share a common core of documents. For short-stay visas these centre on the passport, purpose and means; for residence permits, additional documents such as criminal-record certificates, health insurance and biometric data are required.

Always check the specific document checklist for your route on the official pages, because employment, study, family and investment routes each add their own evidence.

Commonly required

  • Valid passport or travel document
  • Completed application form and photographs
  • Evidence of purpose (booking, job offer, admission letter, family relationship or investment)
  • Proof of accommodation and sufficient financial resources
  • Travel medical insurance (minimum EUR 30,000 cover for short-stay visas)
