Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Processing time depends on the category and consulate. The e-Visa is generally issued electronically by email within a few days of a completed application and confirmed payment. For consular visas, guidance commonly cites a few working days once the documentation is complete and the fee has been confirmed in the embassy's account, but timing varies by post and case.

Residence and naturalisation processing is longer and handled by the DIIE. Applicants should apply well ahead of travel and confirm current timelines with the relevant consulate.
