The e-Visa is a pre-enrolment process: you apply online in advance, receive a pre-approval document, and the biometric visa is issued on arrival at Abidjan airport. Apply well ahead of travel to allow for processing and payment confirmation.

For the foreigner resident card, ONECI indicates around 15 business days for a new application and around 7 business days for a renewal, though actual times may vary with demand at the enrolment centre. A resident card application must be lodged after entry within the deadline set by the regulations on the stay of foreigners.

Because timeframes are indicative and subject to change, confirm the current processing estimate on the official portal and build in a margin before any fixed travel or start dates.
