Bangladesh Visa Processing Times

Standard visa processing at missions is often around five working days, but specialised categories such as journalist visas take longer and BIDA visa recommendations can be issued quickly online.

Processing time depends on the mission and visa category. The High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, for example, states a standard processing time of five working days for tourist, business and family visas. Journalist and media visas take longer, with a stated minimum of about two to three weeks because of additional clearances.

For investment and employment visas, BIDA states that visa recommendations submitted through its One Stop Service portal are processed within 24 hours provided all required documents are in order. Actual issuance still depends on the mission and any No Objection Certificate requirements, so allow extra time.
