Who it is for

  • MERCOSUR nationals after 2 years, or non-MERCOSUR nationals after 3 years, of temporary residence (arraigo)
  • Children of Argentine citizens (native, naturalised or by option) born abroad
  • Recognised refugees meeting the rooting requirements
  • Former diplomatic, consular or international-organisation officials after qualifying service

Requirements

  • Valid passport or MERCOSUR travel document
  • Argentine criminal record certificate (ages 16+)
  • Foreign criminal clearance from countries where resident over 1 year in the last 3 years (ages 16+)
  • Proof of address and regular income/subsistence
  • For arraigo: proof of the qualifying temporary residence period and continued presence (e.g. no absence beyond 6 consecutive months)
  • For family link: birth certificate and the Argentine relative's ID

  • Reside and work in Argentina indefinitely
  • Hold a permanent DNI
  • Build toward eligibility for Argentine citizenship

How to apply

  • Register and complete the application in the RaDEX online system while present in Argentina
  • Pay the applicable platform fees
  • Upload the required documentation
  • Attend the in-person appointment when notified
