Yemen's electronic visa system
Background on the e-Visa platform launched in 2025 and what it means for travellers.

Yemen launched its official electronic visa (e-Visa) system in June 2025, administered by the Immigration, Passports and Nationality Authority (IPNA) under the Ministry of Interior and hosted at yemenevisa.org. The platform lets travellers apply online for tourism, group tourism, business, work, transit and other visa categories, with approved visas delivered by email.
The system was developed with support from international partners to modernise and standardise visa issuance. Given Yemen's ongoing security situation and the reduced presence of diplomatic missions, travellers should treat the official portal as the authoritative source and check current travel advice before planning a trip.
