US work visas

The US work category covers the temporary worker routes for coming to the United States to work — such as the H visas (including the H-1B specialty occupation and the H-2A/H-2B seasonal routes), the L intracompany transfer, the O extraordinary-ability visa, the E treaty trader/investor visas and the TN route for Canadian and Mexican professionals. Most US work visas require a US employer to sponsor you and, for many, an approved petition (and sometimes a labor condition or certification) before you apply. This section groups the US work routes and links to the official U.S. Department of State and USCIS guidance so you can confirm what applies to you.
