Eligibility for a Turkmenistan visa depends on nationality, the purpose of travel and, critically, an approved invitation. Visa categories and types, and the procedure for issuing them, are set out in the Law of Turkmenistan 'On Migration'.
For citizens of countries that have bilateral agreements with Turkmenistan, a different visa procedure may apply, so applicants should check the rules for their nationality with a Turkmen consulate before applying.
