Sri Lankan visa fees
Visa fees in Sri Lanka vary by category and, for the ETA, by nationality group (SAARC vs other countries) and whether the visa is obtained online or on arrival.
Important
According to the Department of Immigration and Emigration's published fee schedule, the tourist ETA costs USD 50 for most nationalities when obtained online (and USD 60 on arrival), with a reduced USD 20 (USD 25 on arrival) for SAARC-country nationals; children under 12 are free. The business ETA is USD 55 for most nationalities and USD 30 for SAARC nationals. Transit visas are free for a short transit stay.
Residence visas are generally priced per year, with most categories around USD 200 annually; the foreign spouse of a Sri Lankan citizen may be exempt where the marriage has subsisted for the required period, dependant categories are lower, and the Digital Nomad visa is set higher. Dual-citizenship fees are charged per person, with a higher fee for the main applicant.
