Processing times for Estonia national applications
Estonia reviews long-stay (D) visas within 30 days and decides temporary residence permits within 90 days, with the residence permit card issued within 30 days after that.
Important
Estonia publishes statutory review periods for its national routes. A long-stay (D) visa application is reviewed by the Police and Border Guard Board within 30 days of the application being accepted. Temporary residence permit applications take longer: a decision is issued within 90 days, after which the residence permit card is produced.
These are the maximum review periods set out in the official instructions; incomplete applications or the need for extra checks can affect timing.
