Documents you need
The core documents required across Russian visa applications, plus category-specific items.
Important
For a traditional Russian visa you generally need a passport valid beyond your intended stay with blank pages, a completed electronic visa application form, a passport photo, an invitation (visa support), and — depending on category — proof of purpose such as an employment or study confirmation, and medical or insurance documents where required.
The unified e-visa requires far less: a valid passport, a digital photo and an email address. No invitation, hotel booking or other supporting documents are required for the e-visa.
