Stay extension and re-entry (eStay)

Business eVisa holders staying in Myanmar can apply online to extend their stay or obtain a re-entry visa through the eStay system.

The Ministry operates an online eStay system at estay.moip.gov.mm for foreigners who are already in Myanmar. It lets eligible holders apply for a stay extension or a re-entry visa without leaving the country.

According to the Ministry, the eStay service is available to foreigners whose latest entry visa is a business eVisa obtained from the official eVisa portal. Tourist eVisa holders are generally not eligible to extend through this route.

Anyone planning a longer stay should check eStay eligibility and deadlines before their permitted stay expires, as overstaying can lead to penalties.
