Requirements

  • Applicant falls within an eligible category: foreign expert, investor, former Myanmar citizen, or spouse/relative of a Myanmar citizen.
  • A qualifying period of prior residence in Myanmar on a long-term visa, evidenced by visa and travel records (about 3 years for experts, 2 years for relatives of citizens, within a 10-year window).
  • Good character and security clearance, plus a health recommendation.
  • Ability to meet the residence, tax and national-interest conditions in the Permanent Residence of a Foreigner Rules.
  • A valid, unexpired passport.
