IMUGA and the Traveller Declaration
How the Maldives' IMUGA digital platform and mandatory Traveller Declaration work for every arriving traveller.
Important
IMUGA is Maldives Immigration's online platform for arrivals and several visa services. Every foreign national arriving in the Maldives must complete and submit the Traveller Declaration, which can be filled in up to 96 hours (4 days) before arrival and is free of charge.
Beyond the declaration, IMUGA is used to submit Sponsorship Declarations and to apply for the Dependent, Marriage and Resident visas. Because entry is decided at the port of entry, completing the declaration accurately and carrying evidence of accommodation, funds and return travel helps clearance run smoothly.
What IMUGA is used for
- Traveller Declaration for all arrivals (within 96 hours before arrival)
- Sponsorship Declarations
- Dependent, Marriage and Resident visa applications
