How to apply

  • Provide onward travel evidence and a passport valid for at least 6 months

Requirements

  • A passport valid for at least six months from your date of transit.
  • A confirmed onward flight ticket to a third country.
  • A valid visa for your final destination, if that country requires one.
  • Liberia handles transit as one of the purposes of its visa on arrival / embassy visa; nationals who have a Liberian embassy in their country must apply there, while others apply through the official Visa on Arrival portal.
  • ECOWAS nationals do not need a transit visa, because ECOWAS visa-free entry applies to them.

  • Recent portrait photo in colour with a neutral background (up to 2 MB)
  • Onward flight ticket to your third-country destination

  • Yellow fever vaccination certificate (a standard entry requirement for Liberia)
