How to apply

  • Check whether your onward connection qualifies for visa-free transit
  • If a transit visa is needed, apply via the MOI e-services portal or a Jordanian mission

Requirements

  • The traveller's nationality must be one of the restricted-country nationalities that require a transit visa
  • The transit visa lasts 72 hours only, counted from entry into Jordan, and cannot be extended
  • The traveller must already hold what allows them to enter their onward destination (a residency or visa for that country)

Documents you may need

  • A copy of the traveller's passport or travel document valid for at least 6 months
  • A copy of the traveller's residence permit in their country of residence, valid for at least 6 months, if they live in a country whose nationality they do not hold
  • Proof that the traveller has obtained what enables entry to the country they intend to visit (residency or visa)
  • A copy of a COVID-19 vaccination certificate
  • If applying in person: proof of the foreigner's legal residence and a copy of the applicant's identity card
  • If the applicant is a company or institution: a copy of a valid professions licence
