Processing times depend on the route and on whether the application is complete. Work permits are commonly reported to take around two to three weeks once a full application is submitted, and must be approved before the worker travels.

Residence and citizenship applications generally take longer because they involve interviews and background checks, and citizenship-by-investment applications are subject to detailed due diligence. Submitting a complete application with all supporting documents is the best way to avoid delays.
