Requirements

Although visa on arrival has historically been associated with Ambouli International Airport, the Djiboutian government now restricts it to holders of diplomatic, official and service passports. Ordinary passport holders are expected to obtain an e-Visa before travel rather than rely on arrival.

How to apply

  • Eligible diplomatic / official / service passport holders present their passport and supporting travel documents at the immigration desk on arrival
  • Ordinary passport holders should instead apply online in advance at evisa.gouv.dj and print the approved e-Visa PDF to present at the border
