Who needs a visa to visit Cameroon?

All travellers to Cameroon require a visa, with the exception of those from the nations mentioned below. Nationals of the following nations are permitted to enter Cameroon visa-free for stays of up to 90 days:

• Central African Republic
• Chad
• République du Congo
• Equatorial Guinea
• Gabon
• Nigeria.

Entry into Cameroon

All passengers aged 5 and older must provide (in PDF format) proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test conducted no more than 72 hours before to boarding a trip to Cameroon. At the international airports in Yaoundé and Douala, all arriving passengers are required to submit to a quick COVID-19 test. These examinations are mandatory and free. During the time that travellers are at the airport, results are returned.

At the airport, all travellers departing Cameroon must provide a negative PCR or rapid flow test result from within the previous 72 hours. Recommended is a test with a QR code on the outcome.

You must adhere to the additional screening processes implemented by the authorities. Maintain contact with your tour operator, transportation provider, and/or lodging provider for up-to-date information on the impact on your existing trip plans. The admission conditions imposed by the government of Cameroon are susceptible to modification at short notice.

If you hold a passport from Brunei, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, or Vietnam, you can enter Cambodia visa-free for between 14 and 30 days, depending on your home country. If you are entering the United States from another country, you must ensure you have a valid visa.

What to do if your Cameroon visa is refused?

If your visa is denied for any reason or you are denied entrance at the Schengen border, you will NOT receive a refund. If the border police have denied you admission and intend to deport you back to your home country, the embassy is unable to offer any assistance.
