  • Have enough money to support yourself for your stay
  • Meet the health and character requirements
  • Not intend to work while in Australia as a visitor

How to apply

According to the Department of Home Affairs, you apply online through ImmiAccount. Create or sign in to your ImmiAccount, complete the application form for the relevant stream, pay the visa application charge, and attach your supporting documents. Payment is made electronically through the 'My Payments' section of ImmiAccount.

  • Choose the correct subclass 600 stream for your purpose
  • Create or sign in to your ImmiAccount
  • Complete the online application and attach supporting documents
  • Pay the visa application charge electronically
  • Include English translations of any documents not in English

  • A valid passport
  • Evidence you have enough money for your stay
  • Documents showing the purpose of your visit (for example an itinerary, or an invitation for a family visit)
