Requirements

  • Hold an eVisitor-eligible passport (European Union countries and certain other European countries)
  • Be outside Australia when you apply and when the visa is granted
  • Be visiting for tourism or business visitor activities, not to work
  • Be free from tuberculosis
  • Have no criminal convictions for which you were sentenced to a total combined period of 12 months or more, whether or not the sentence was served

According to the Department of Home Affairs, the eVisitor is applied for online and there is no visa application charge. You must be outside Australia when you apply and when the visa is decided.
