Official guidance Regularly updated

Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Angola operates a tourism visa-exemption scheme: under Presidential Decree no. 189/23, nationals of designated countries can enter for short leisure stays without a visa, while other travellers use the tourism e-visa or a purpose-specific visa. The exemption covers tourism only and does not allow work or residence.

All travellers must also satisfy general entry conditions on arrival. Angola has historically required proof of yellow fever vaccination for entry, so travellers should confirm current health-entry rules alongside their visa status.

Good to know

  • Visa-exemption applies to tourism, not work or residence
  • The exempted-country list and stay limits are set by decree and can change
  • Carry any required international vaccination certificate (e.g. yellow fever)
  • Keep proof of onward/return travel and accommodation for entry checks
