Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Whether you need a visa for Angola, and which one, depends on your nationality and the purpose of your trip. Nationals of countries listed under the tourism visa-exemption decree can enter visa-free for short leisure stays, while many other travellers must obtain a tourism e-visa or a purpose-specific visa in advance.

Work, study, investment, family-reunification and residence all require the corresponding visa category under Law no. 13/19 — the tourism visa and exemption cover leisure travel only and do not allow work or residence.

Key eligibility points

  • Visa need is determined by nationality and purpose of travel
  • Some nationalities are exempt from the tourism visa for short stays
  • Eligible nationalities can use the tourism e-visa online
  • Longer or paid stays require a work, study, investment or residence route
