Requirements

  • An airport transit visa lets the holder enter and remain only in the international transit area of an Albanian airport until the next flight to the destination country — it does not permit entry into Albanian territory.
  • You must hold the visa or entry right required for your onward destination country.
  • A confirmed onward flight ticket/reservation covering the transit; the visa's validity is tied to the flight schedule you have booked for transiting.

  • A scanned copy of your valid passport bio-data page.
  • Onward (and, where relevant, return) flight ticket or reservation showing the transit routing.
  • The visa or entry document for your final destination country.
  • A passport-standard photo, white background, 47 mm x 36 mm.

Frequently asked questions

  • Where a transit visa is required for your nationality, it covers only the international transit zone; it does not let you leave the airport or enter Albania. If you need to leave the transit area you need a short-stay visa instead.
