Requirements
- Hold a passport (or passport substitute) valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry
- Not fall under the cases of entry suspension set out in Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam
- Be applying for tourism, business, study, visiting relatives or a similar permitted purpose
- Be able to provide a portrait photo and a scan of your passport bio-data page
How to apply
- Go to the National e-Visa portal at evisa.gov.vn
- Complete the online application, entering your full name exactly as it appears on the ICAO (machine-readable) line of your passport, in uppercase
- Upload a portrait photo and a scan of your passport bio-data page
- Note the registration code the system gives you, then pay the visa fee online (US$25 single entry / US$50 multiple entry)
- After processing (within 3 working days), check your result using your registration code, email and date of birth, then print your e-visa to present on arrival
Documents you may need
- A portrait photo, 4x6 cm, taken straight-on with the face uncovered and without glasses
- A scan of your passport bio-data page showing the full page, photo, personal details and the ICAO lines
- A passport valid for at least 6 months from entry
- Your intended date of entry and the entry and exit border gates you plan to use
- A temporary address in Vietnam
