Requirements

  • A passport (or passport substitute) valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry
  • Not fall under the entry-suspension cases in Article 21 of the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam
  • For a sponsored e-visa, an inviting or sponsoring agency, organisation registered with the Vietnam Immigration Department that requests the visa on your behalf

How to apply

  • For most business travellers: apply for an e-visa on the National e-Visa portal at evisa.gov.vn, selecting the business purpose
  • Alternatively, the Vietnamese agency or organisation you are visiting can request an e-visa for you as an inviting or sponsoring body registered with the Immigration Department
  • Complete the application, upload your portrait photo and passport bio-data page, and pay the fee online
  • Confirm which route applies to your visit with the Vietnam Immigration Department where you are unsure
