Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months with at least 2 blank visa pages
  • A completed visa application form with 2 passport-size photos
  • A copy of the passport ID page
  • Confirmed transport tickets to enter and depart Thailand (matching the accommodation dates)
  • Proof of accommodation for the whole period of stay
  • Bank statement or bank book for the last 3 months showing an ending balance of at least 30,000 THB per person / 50,000 THB per family (or equivalent)

How to apply

  • Apply online through the official Thai e-Visa system at thaievisa.go.th
  • Upload the required documents (all documents must be in English or Thai)
  • Pay the visa fee online by credit card; the fee is non-refundable
  • The embassy may request additional documents and reserves the right to reject an application if not fully supported

Documents you may need

  • Original passport (6 months' validity, 2 blank pages) and a copy of the ID page
  • Application form plus 2 recent passport-size photographs
  • Round-trip transport tickets (for travel by personal vehicle, the vehicle registration and driving licence)
  • Proof of accommodation, or — if staying with a Thai citizen — an invitation letter and house registration
  • 3 months of bank statements evidencing the required balance
  • For a family group, a certificate of relationship (e.g. birth or marriage certificate)

Frequently asked questions

  • The 3-month validity is the window in which you must enter Thailand using the visa. The 60-day stay is the period you are permitted to remain, granted by the Immigration officer once you arrive.
