Requirements

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months and a recent photograph
  • Completed application and copy of the passport biodata page
  • Bank statement evidencing the required funds (official guidance cites 500,000 THB)
  • Supporting evidence of the purpose (e.g. employment/freelance contract, course enrolment, or activity documents)

  • Stay in Thailand up to 180 days per entry over a 5-year period
  • Carry out remote work for overseas employers/clients, or the approved soft-power activity
  • Bring qualifying dependants

How to apply

  • Apply through the Thailand e-Visa system before travelling
  • Provide financial and purpose-of-visit documents in English or Thai
  • Extend the 180-day stay once per entry at the Immigration Bureau if needed
