Syria applies an absolute entry ban on holders of Israeli nationality, and evidence of travel to Israel in a passport can lead to refusal of entry. This is one of the most consistently enforced rules in Syrian entry policy.
Entry conditions have been highly changeable following the December 2024 change of government. Airport visa-on-arrival arrangements, prior-approval requirements and the status of land border crossings can shift at short notice, and previously announced systems (such as the electronic visa portal) may not be reliably operational.
Given the security situation, check your own government's travel advice as well as the requirements set by Syrian authorities before making any plans.
