Requirements

  • A valid passport and completed application form
  • Proof of current employment with the foreign company (typically for a minimum prescribed period)
  • A letter from the foreign employer confirming the transfer to the South African entity
  • Proof of the relationship between the foreign company and the South African branch/subsidiary/affiliate
  • A skills-transfer plan for a South African citizen or permanent resident
  • A written undertaking by the employer accepting responsibility for deportation costs, plus a police clearance certificate

  • Work in South Africa for the receiving company for the duration of the transfer
  • Apply for accompanying visas for eligible dependent family members
