  • Workers whose occupation is not on the Critical Skills List
  • Applicants who can meet the points-based eligibility criteria

Requirements

  • A valid passport and completed application form
  • A formal offer of employment / employment contract from the South African employer
  • Proof that the applicant meets the required points under the points-based criteria
  • Qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
  • Police clearance certificate(s) and a medical/radiological report as prescribed
  • Employer undertakings as required by the regulations

  • Work legally in South Africa for the specified employer and position
  • Apply for accompanying visas for eligible dependent family members

  • Secure a qualifying job offer from a South African employer
  • Have your qualifications evaluated by SAQA
  • Submit the application and supporting documents through VFS Global (in-country) or a South African mission abroad
