Singaporean Singapore Short-Term Visit Pass

The immigration pass granted digitally at the checkpoint for short visits such as tourism or seeing family. The officer sets your period of stay at entry, and no work is permitted.

Requirements (to extend your stay)

  • You currently hold a Short-Term Visit Pass issued by ICA.
  • Your STVP has a remaining validity of 14 days or less when you apply.
  • You have a genuine reason for the extended stay — ICA assesses each case holistically, including factors such as immediate family who are Singapore citizens or PRs.
  • The period of extension granted is subject to ICA's assessment and is not guaranteed.

How to apply (extension)

Submit the extension request through ICA's e-Service for Extension of Short Term Visit Pass. All applications are online — walk-ins are not accepted.

  • Apply only when your STVP has 14 days or less remaining.
  • Complete the online extension form and provide your reason for the extended stay.
  • Pay the S$40 fee if the extension takes your stay to 90 days or more from entry (charged again for each further 90-day block).
  • Allow up to 5 working days for processing before your current pass expires.
