Who can apply

  • Nationals of countries listed by ICA as requiring an entry visa
  • Travellers who are not eligible for visa-free entry to Singapore

What you can do

  • Travel to a Singapore checkpoint and seek entry

Requirements

  • You hold a passport of a visa-required nationality (check the ICA visa-requirement list for your travel document).
  • Your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date you intend to enter Singapore.
  • You apply before travelling — ICA does not accept visa applications at the immigration counters.
  • The entry visa is a pre-entry document only; the actual period of stay is decided and granted by the officer on arrival.

How to apply

Submit the application online. If you have a Local Contact in Singapore with a Singpass or Corppass account, they can lodge it for you; otherwise apply through an authorised visa agent appointed by a Singapore Overseas Mission, or at the nearest Singapore Overseas Mission.

  • Pay the S$30 non-refundable processing fee online by Visa or MasterCard.
  • Wait for processing — normally within 3 working days of submission.
  • Retrieve your e-Visa using the ICA "Enquire Application Status" function once approved.
  • Print or carry the e-Visa for travel; the visa validity is stated on it.

Documents you may need

  • Duly completed and signed Form 14A.
  • A recent passport-sized colour photograph taken within the last 3 months.
  • A photocopy of the biodata page of your passport (valid at least 6 months from your date of entry).
  • Any additional supporting documents ICA requests for your application.

Frequently asked questions

  • No. The visa validity shown on the e-Visa only sets the window in which you may seek entry. The actual period of stay is granted by the immigration officer on arrival and is issued as a Visit Pass.
