Fees for a Swiss national (type D) visa are governed by the Ordinance on fees under the Federal Act on Foreign Nationals (SR 142.209) together with the Visa Code. Each Swiss representation abroad publishes the amount payable, charged in the local currency it determines.
The visa fee is due at the time you submit the application and is not refundable, including where a visa is refused. Cantonal residence-permit issuance may involve separate cantonal charges that are set locally.
