Important

This information is for general guidance only. Meeting the requirements does not guarantee your application will be approved.

Eligibility for a short visit depends mainly on your nationality under Israeli entry rules, since the Israeli authorities decide who may cross into Palestinian Authority areas. Some nationalities are admitted on arrival; others must obtain permission in advance.

Eligibility for longer stays depends on fitting one of the recognised categories in the Israeli entry-and-residence procedure — employee, student, spouse/family member, businessperson/investor, or visiting lecturer/expert — and on having a Palestinian sponsor to coordinate the request.

Eligibility for Palestinian residence status and documents depends on the Palestinian population registry, which is generally reached through descent or family reunification and requires Israeli approval of any change.
