Palestine visas

Whether you need a visa or permit for the Occupied Palestinian Territory (the West Bank and Gaza Strip) depends on your nationality and the purpose of your visit, and on a dual system that is unusual internationally. The Palestinian Ministry of Interior and its General Authority of Civil Affairs administer Palestinian civil status, passports, population registry and residence coordination for foreigners, but Palestine does not control its own external borders or airspace: physical entry, exit and visas are controlled by Israel (through the military body COGAT for the West Bank) and, for Gaza, also by the Egyptian and Israeli-controlled crossings. This hub explains the routes that genuinely exist; always confirm current rules directly with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior and the Israeli authorities before travelling.
