Requirements

  • Valid passport and, if required, a long-stay (type D) visa
  • Marriage or birth certificate, apostilled and translated (Romanian)
  • Proof of shared accommodation adequate for the household
  • Proof of sufficient funds to support the joining family member
  • Medical insurance and, where required, criminal-record certificate

How to apply

  • Sponsor and applicant assemble relationship and household evidence
  • Obtain a type D visa at a Moldovan mission if a visa is required
  • Apply for the family-reunification residence permit at the General Inspectorate for Migration
