Requirements
- Formal application letter to the Minister of Labour stating employer, applicant name/position/nationality, resident permit and passport numbers, and job description
- Completed Pre-Qualification form from the Division of Alien Registration
- Two passport-size photos and the applicant's current CV
- Copy of the resident permit payment receipt
- Employer's legal documents (business registration/licence or certificate of incorporation)
- List of Liberian staff and foreigners already employed, and an organisation chart for larger entities
- Proof the post was advertised (for corporations, partnerships, etc.)
How to apply
- Submit the application letter and Pre-Qualification form to the Division of Alien Registration
- The Ministry screens credentials and certifies no qualified Liberian is available for the job
- Pay the work-permit fee at the Ministry of Finance (Central Bank Annex)
- Return with the original receipt for the work-permit booklet to be issued
- Renew each year with a fresh letter, renewed resident-permit receipt and previous work-permit receipt
